Desert Bliss

Whenever I want you all I have to do is...

Twenty thousand roads I went down, and they all led me straight back home to you. -Gram Parsons

For me, Joshua Tree is a dreamland, and the visit represented by the photos above will likely go down in my history as one of the best escapes from reality... ever. The gorgeous Mr. Michael Sechman and I departed a few weeks ago for a one night, two day getaway (a tease indeed, but so immensely fulfilling at the same time). We stayed in Gram Parsons' old room at the Joshua Tree Inn. For those of you who don't know the story, Gram not only lived quite a few days of his life in room #8 but he also met his tragic death there. Spending time in his old room and of course in the Joshua Tree National Park was utterly magical.
